QT's Capitol Bar & Grill Is the Jewel in the ACT Restaurant Crown

QT Canberra cemented its place in the ACT hospitality and accommodation scene winning not one, but two top industry awards at 2015 Australian Hotels Association (AHA) ACT Hospitality Awards last week.

Following in the footsteps of last year's wins, winning Best Prestigious Dining Venue and Best Cocktail Bar (Accommodation Division), QT Canberra has taken home 'Best Prestigious Dining Venue' for the second year running and 'Best Wine List' in 2015.

The 2015 ACT AHA Hospitality Awards, is a prestigious ceremony held annually to celebrate the achievements of the state's leading hospitality providers and these wins secure QT Canberra's place in the annual awards in which they'll be up against the best from each state.

“From a popular Braddon gastro-pub to a unique, five-star hotel and a world-class wildlife retreat, this year's winners showcased innovation and progression across the ACT's growing hospitality sector,” said Brad Watts, AHA ACT General Manager.

“QT Canberra truly take diners and guests on a culinary journey with Capitol Bar & Grill through a menu created by QT Hotels Creative Food Director, Robert Marchett and a curated wine list by Ian Cook,' said Paul Scott, General Manager QT Canberra. “It offers a choice of eclectic wines and a menu of bistro classics and future favourites with an Italian twist - perfect for a power dinner!”

Lucky's at QT Canberra was also recently recognised at the National Australian Hotels Association (AHA) Awards for Excellence, with the speakeasy bar picking up the award for 'Best Bar Presentation and Service (Regional)'.

A significant part of the Canberra landscape with the building being steeped in local and national history; Prime Ministers have been made and ousted to iconic acceptance speeches and back-room meetings. QT Canberra's unique designer space celebrates this history through bold design, a mix of quirky artefacts, bespoke furniture, a daring use of colour and art, and the ultimate food and drink offering.

The hotel has 205 guest rooms and suites which are kitted out with designer décor and all the business savvy mod-cons the astute businessman or woman needs to get the job done, from seamless technology offering, bathroom amenities by New York's Malin+Goetz to a team geared to assist you with any left-field requests.
