A theatrical new cocktail menu by Om Nom Kitchen Dessert Bar offers an interactive sensory experience that sets a new precedent for the Melbourne drinks scene.
Launching 1 July 2016, the innovative cocktail line up is designed to complement the bar’s existing dessert menu. Award-winning mixologist, Grant Collins has worked closely with Om Nom to create a selection of cocktails that tantalise the tastebuds with a multitude of textures and flavours. Breaking the age-old tradition of simply drinking cocktails, the concoctions feature elements that can be eaten and inhaled.
Om Nom’s bar will transform into an aromatic science lab, the method of creating each drink puts a heavy emphasis on performance. Bar tenders will use smoke, fire and dry ice to deconstruct, vaporise, toast, cold press and freeze elements of each cocktail. To complete the experience, each drink is served in unique glassware imported from Europe and America.
Cocktails include the Secret Garden Infuser which pairs cucumber-infused gin with edible soil and chocolate absinth jelly worms as well as the Nitro Tea Party, a spiced up version of the original long island iced tea served in a smoking nitro-charged teapot.
