St Collins Lane – a new retail precinct
- Written by Victorian Government
Melbourne will welcome a new destination for luxury fashion and food, when St Collins Lane opens its doors in May 2016.
The $30million redevelopment of the former Australia on Collins site on Collins Street, will welcome a selection of renowned labels from around the country and around the world.
Coveted Paris fashion brands, Sandro and Maje will open their first Australian flagship stores here, as will UK fashion house, REISS. They will sit alongside international brands including TAG, Coach, Furla and The Kooples and local labels such as búl.
On Level Two, The Aviary dining precinct will house eight large restaurants and two smaller kiosks. The space will also feature two al fresco dining areas with sweeping city views.
Tapping into Melbourne’s laneway culture, St Collins Lane will act as a thoroughfare for pedestrians, connecting Collins Street to Little Collins Street.
Once complete, the centre will house over 9,000 square metres of retail space with 60 luxury boutiques and a number of premium restaurants.
