Food and film collide at Gourmet Cinema
- Written by Victorian Government
Melbourne’s passion for food collides with its love of open-air cinema experiences this March, when Gourmet Cinema launches at Caulfield Racecourse (2 – 6 March 2016).
Each night a special menu will be curated by one of Melbourne’s favourite operators – Epocha, Le Bon Ton, Baby, Mamasita and The European – in keeping with the theme of the evening’s film, and each restaurant will serve two or three dishes.
The films have been carefully chosen to complement the vendors, and include classics such as Midnight in Paris and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Gates will open at 6pm, allowing time for grazing before the film starts at 8:30pm. Seating will be mostly on the lawn, with a limited number of deck chairs and beach chairs available for hire.
