The home of football, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), is on the minds of many people this month. And one of the (many) great things about the MCG is its location, only a 15-minute walk from the city centre, and right next door to one of Melbourne’s trendy inner-city precincts, Richmond.
Before, after or even during the Australian Football League Grand Final (3 October, 2015), football fans and visitors wanting to soak up Melbourne in the height of its grand final frenzy, will find a host of new dining options along emerging ‘eat streets’ Swan Street and Church Street.
At any of the following hot spots, sporting fans can fill up on good food and help make the day a memorable one – win, lose or draw.
