The best of Australian photography at MGA

To mark its 25^th anniversary, Monash Gallery of Art (MGA), the home of Australian photography (just 30 minutes from Melbourne’s city centre) presents Highlights from the MGA Collection (8 May–12 July 2015).

The exhibition showcases the Monash Gallery of Art, City of Monash Collection – the only collection in the world dedicated exclusively to Australian photography. The collection comprises over 2,400 works, reflecting the history and development of Australian photographic practice from the nineteenth century to today.Highlights from the MGA Collection is the largest display of collection work in the history of MGA, offering unprecedented access to some of Australia’s best photography.
