Over 30 tourism venues around Victoria will open their doors to celebrate Independence Australia‘s Accessibility Weekend.
Victoria boasts more than 1000 accessible venues and services, but from 10 – 11 September, some of the state’s best attractions will welcome wheelchair users and their accompanying carers for free, at venues including: Sovereign Hill, Phillip Island Nature Parks, Australian National Surfing Museum, Central Deborah Gold Mine, Chinese Museum, SEA LIFE Melbourne and many more.
Celebrating the importance of access and inclusion for people living with a physical disability, Accessibility Weekend is held as part of the national campaign, Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week (5 – 11 September 2016).
