Geelong’s Scarf Festival

More than 300 unique, masterful, weird and wonderful scarves will be on display at the National Wool Museum, Geelong during the annual Scarf Festival, 2 June – 24 August, 2017. Visitors can also take part in craft workshops and shop for homemade wares at a series of weekend markets.
Pop up craft demonstration markets will run over one weekend each month during June – Queen’s Birthday, 8-9 July and 12-13 August showcasing local handmade items including handwoven scarves and toys, soft sculptured felt animals, wet felting clothes and accessories.
Workshops are held on selected Wednesdays and Saturday’s throughout the festival. They offer a range of craft options such as hand knitting, needle felting, silk painting and embroidery with topics such as – Year of the Rooster in Thread, Wooly Sheep and Wet Felted Vessels and Bowls.
