Joint Media Release: Chief Minister Andrew Barr and Shane Rattenbury MLA
The leadership skills of ACT students will be enhanced by the iInspire Leadership Program, which will be rolled out in ACT primary and high schools.
Our schools are an environment for Canberra students to not only build their intellectual skills, but to also develop life skills that will help them throughout their entire lives.
The program, run by KultureBreak, is designed to inspire leadership aspirations in our young people and to empower them to add their voice to the change they want to see in their school, community and city.
Minister for Education, Shane Rattenbury and KultureBreak founder and Canberra public school alumni, Francis Owusu were also at the iInspire Leadership Program launch today.
“This is a fantastic program to extend the leadership skills of our students and will help to build on the work being carried out within our schools,” said Mr Rattenbury.
“The skills students will learn through the program, including from the leadership conferences, the mentor support and the online community, will help students gain confidence and leadership skills that they can take with them beyond their school years.
The iInspire Leadership Program aims to involve up to 2,000 primary and high school students from 70 schools across the ACT.
