New Visitor Guide celebrates the best experiences our region has to offer
Canberrans with friends and family visiting over the holiday period can take inspiration for things to see and do in the Canberra region from the newly released Canberra Visitor Guide 2016.
The 2016 Guide lists an array of experiences available for both locals and visitors that cover the themes of food and wine, arts and culture, family fun, nature and outdoors, precincts, events and the surrounding region. Local insiders’ recommendations are featured throughout.
Information on old favourites and the hottest new Canberra experiences are also featured, including where to get buy a Freakshake, Yarralumla Play Station, craft beer trails and guides to what you can find in Braddon, NewActon, the city, Manuka/Kingston and Pialligo/Majura.
VisitCanberra’s annual flagship publication is available in hard copy from the Canberra Region Visitor Centre on Northbourne Avenue or in App format for both tablets and smartphones. Featuring a cover shot of a hot air balloon over Lake Burley Griffin by photographer Paul Jurak, the Guide has been produced by VisitCanberra in association with the Medium Rare Content Agency.
The App will be updated regularly with new content including a seasonal events calendar. It allows people to download articles they are interested in, making content faster and easier to access. The App is available in the App store and Google Play by searching for Canberra Visitor Guide, which complements information available on visitcanberra.com.au
With more than 35 per cent of visitors coming to Canberra to visit their friends and family, the Visitor Guide is the perfect tool for Canberrans to use this summer to showcase the best our region has to offer.
