Minister Barr: Continued support for Canberrans with hail damaged vehicles

The ACT Government has extended financial assistance for Canberrans whose vehicles were damaged in the January hailstorm until 30 October 2020.
The hail rebate assistance package offered through Access Canberra, has received more than 1,500 applications, with more than $260,000 in rebates already provided to the ACT community.
More than 37,000 vehicles were damaged during the hailstorm, and while Canberrans work together to combat COVID-19, we will extend the financial rebate assistance for those affected by the hailstorm.
These rebates apply to any person who owned a privately registered ACT vehicle that was damaged in the January Hailstorm. All rebates must be applied for by close of business 30 October 2020.
Canberrans whose vehicles were damaged in the hailstorm can apply for rebates online at www.act.gov.au/hail or by calling 13 22 81 and do not need to attend an Access Canberra Service Centre.
