It is now even easier for more Canberrans to have their say and help shape the ACT’s future, with the new YourSay Community Panel launched today.

Joining this online panel gives Canberrans another way to share their views and opinions on a wide range of topics and inform the ACT Government’s decision-making.

We are building for Canberra’s future with the community, for the community. Input we receive through the YourSay Community Panel will help shape the policies, programs and services that make Canberra a great place to live. It will also allow us to test new ideas with a statistically representative sample of the Canberra community.

We want as many Canberrans as possible to join the YourSay Community Panel, to ensure our community’s diversity is reflected in the feedback we hear. The panel is open to any ACT resident aged 16 years and over.

Signing up is quick and easy, with just a few demographic questions to answer. Panel members will then occasionally receive emails asking if they want to participate in activities like completing an online survey or taking part in an online discussion forum.

Being part of the YourSay Community Panel will not require a large input of time. We anticipate that members will be invited to take part in one or two activities a month.

To thank Community Panel members for their time, every time they participate in an activity they will go into a monthly prize draw to win one of five $100 e-gift vouchers.

The new YourSay Community Panel will complement the YourSay Community Conversations website, which will continue to be our primary place online for community conversations about particular issues. By contrast, members of the YourSay Community Panel will regularly be asked for views and opinions on a whole range of topics.
