Johnny Depp attends TOTEM by Cirque du Soleil in Brisbane
Monday 25 May 2015. American actor Johnny Depp and his wife, actress Amber Heard, attended the 8pm performance of TOTEM by Cirque du Soleil on Saturday, May 23 in Brisbane, QLD, Australia. The star, who is currently filming Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales on the Gold Coast completely fell in love with TOTEM. Depp and Heard spent 20 minutes at intermission talking with the cast and crew and taking photos with them. After the performance, the couple went backstage and spent 30 more minutes with the 46 cast members, talking about the show and exchanging performing stories.
Depp and Heard said the performance left them speechless; they were mesmerised by the physicality of the performers and the passion each artist shares with the audience night after night. Johnny Depp genuinely wanted to spend time to thank the cast and crew members for what he thinks was one of the best shows he has seen!
TOTEM by Cirque du Soleil is currently touring across Australia. Having just completed its season in Brisbane, the production next will be visiting Adelaide (starting June 11) and Perth (starting July 31).
